ABOUT

Ocean is a conceptual artist based in Brooklyn, New York whose research-based practice seeks to transform personal narrative, modern cultural elements, and digital artifacts into immersive installations. Their process is informed by ongoing studies in alchemy, the Fibonacci Sequence and Golden Ratio, and theories on consciousness and spirituality.

Working across video, sculpture, painting, writing, Ocean blends raw materials with the refined ready-made to create environments that prompt introspection. Her installations

explores themes of gender, race, economic disparity, consumerism, and spirituality within the context of  the digital and post-internet culture. By engaging both conscious recognition and subconscious response, the work invites viewers to confront and reframe their own memories, projections, and interpretations.
